July is a season that naturally brings more movement into our lives — vacations, outdoor adventures, celebrations, walks, hikes, and busy summer schedules. At Lilac City Barre, we believe feeling strong, capable, and confident in your body creates the freedom to fully enjoy all of it.
One thing that makes the LCB Barre workout unique is that every exercise in class is designed with intention. Our programming is carefully built to provide the greatest muscular benefit in the safest and most effective way possible. Rather than filling class time with unnecessary “fluff” exercises, each movement has a purpose: to strengthen, stabilize, challenge, and support the body with thoughtful muscle work that delivers results while prioritizing safety and proper form.
Another defining part of the LCB experience is our focus on musicality and tempo-based movement. Our classes are specifically designed around musical timing to create a workout that is not only physically effective, but mentally stimulating and fun. Moving intentionally to a beat challenges coordination, focus, endurance, and control in a completely different way than traditional workouts.
Tempo work also encourages precision. Exercises are performed with carefully controlled timing and purposeful quickness — never rushed or careless — allowing muscles to work deeply and efficiently while helping reduce strain and prevent injury. This combination of controlled movement, intentional pacing, and strong technique creates a workout that is both challenging and supportive for the body.
This July, celebrate your independence by investing in strength that supports your everyday life. Whether you join us for one class or make barre part of your weekly routine, every 50-minute session is designed to help you move better, feel stronger, and enjoy summer with confidence. Give yourself the freedom to move strong this summer!
With energy and encouragement,
– Kerrianne,
LCB's Director of Technique Development

donation-based class with 100% of proceeds to support One Heart
attendees can bring a pair of shoes or give a one-time financial donation
This event supports One Heart, a nonprofit that exists to meet the needs of kids in lower-income and at-risk neighborhoods. From tangible items like new shoes to the intangible gift of lasting relationships, One Heart invests in students with purpose, offering opportunities that instill hope for today and a vision for the future. And we’re thrilled to be partnering again with this organization so deeply rooted in uplifting Spokane youth!
As part of their upcoming Back to School Event on August 15th, One Heart is collecting donations of new sneakers or athletic-style shoes in sizes 10 Toddler through Adult 14. Attendees are encouraged to bring a pair to help a student step into the school year with confidence or give a financial donation.
Shoe donations can also be brought to the studio.
